What We Learned This Week
This week, in Math, we finished up learning about rounding and shifted into number grids. We are learning how to find the difference between two numbers using a number grid which really helps with our place value skills.
In Language Arts, we focused on the book Dog vs. Cat, a fictional book, and worked on story maps, character traits, retelling, and more! Next week, we will be focusing on Cats vs. Dogs, a non-fiction book.
Our focus for Social Studies was the state symbols. We discussed if we have seen any of the symbols in our lives as well as created a guide to remember what the symbols were and a fact about them!
For Science, we completed our second mystery: is it a science vegetable or a science fruit? Students got to look at different fruits and vegetables to figure out what category they fit into.
Below you will found the focus of our Word Study for next week.
