💜 Take a few moments to ensure that your student's laptop is in a secure place and plugged in nightly. We have self-reports of students sneaking computer usage time when it is believed that students are sleeping peacefully

Word Study Next Week

The words for next Friday are fossil, cancel, journal, couple.

What We Learned This Week

Language Arts: Our third graders have been busy reading an end-of-the-year chapter book called Tornado. Students are working through daily reading assignments, writing assignments, vocabulary activities, and comprehension activities. The packet will be completed and sent home next week.

Writing: Students are working on daily Tornado writing assignments. Please make sure that all Wixie informational projects are complete and ready to be submitted next week.

Math: Our geometry unit has started. We are learning to identify attributes of quadrilaterals and other polygons. Important vocabulary includes parallel lines, right angles, vertices, There is much more to come as we finish up Geometry next week.

Science: Our students have had a lot of fun identifying various types of clouds. You may have a future meteorologist in your home! Ask your student about the different types of clouds you see in the sky!

Reading month may be over but we want our book worms to keep reading and building their vocabulary! 20 - 25 minutes a night minimum will set your student up for an amazing future.. Check out this graphic to recognize the importance of reading. A missed day of reading can never be made up.

  • There are no drinking fountains at school. Bring a refillable water bottle to school each day.
  • Earbuds/Earphones are an essential part of learning. Many students do not have working earbuds at school. We have some available for student use but students often do not like how they feel.
